- Drupal 9 is scheduled to be released in June 2020. However, upgrading from Drupal 8 will not be complex as the last version Drupal 8 will be the same as the first version of Drupal 9, the difference being all deprecated codes will be removed. Migration from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9 will be easier than all previous migration.
- Drupal 6 is no longer supported. i.e. there will be no further official release. If you are currently still on Drupal 6, try upgrading your core and modules using the 3rd party long term support from https://github.com/d6lts. However, you should plan and upgrade your site to Drupal 8 now.
- Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 will have its end of life in Nov 2021. You can afford to wait a bit if your site is simple. For more complex site, you should consider your migration plan now, first to Drupal 8 and then later upgrading over to Drupal 9.
